(Updated October 15, 2025) Since Coinmunity Cashback first launched in February, spending with MetaMask Card has been so popular that the Coinmunity rewards pool gets depleted quickly, even as we’ve seen several inflows to the pool.

We worked with DapDap to experiment with different dynamics to reward the most active MetaMask Card AND Coinmunity members.

(Note: This post has been updated to reflect the latest change in the system, moving from a weekly to a daily rewards replenishment schedule.) 

Here’s how the Coinmunity Cashback recycling process and claim window work now:

For every spend on MetaMask Card, you can receive UP TO 15% Coinmunity Cashback. The exact amount of rewards allocated for your spending depends on the size of the reward pool when you spend.

For each spend, you will have 7 days to claim your associated cashback. After this time, your reward will be unavailable. 

If you don’t claim rewards for more than 7 days, the unclaimed rewards will be recycled one day at a time. For example, if you made purchases from September 1 to September 30 but didn’t claim anything:

• On October 1, rewards from September 1 to September 23 will expire.

• On October 2, rewards from September 1 to September 24 will expire.

This continues daily until all unclaimed rewards older than 7 days are recycled.

After 7 days, unclaimed rewards are returned to the pool to help replenish it and help make sure the most active card and Coinmunity users get rewarded. This also helps stabilize the rewards percentages. 

Recycled rewards will be returned to the rewards pool every day at GMT+0 (or 8 AM Hong Kong Time).

What this means for you:

Claiming cashback frequently (within 7 days from each spend) means you get the most of your rewards.

Look for LPUSS, a new addition to the Coinmunity pool, alongside FOXY, CROAK, REX, MALDA, ZERO, LYNX, SOULS and WETH.
