Since Linea launched its Alpha Mainnet at EthCC in Paris last month, the network has seen enormous traction.

Join the team as we celebrate the completion of Linea’s mainnet launch. On Aug 16th, 2PM UTC, you can watch the livestream on Youtube, LinkedIn, or login to Decentraland to watch from there and network with Linea team members and ecosystem partners.

Those who attend our Decentraland meetup will have the opportunity to mint exclusive NFT wearables commemorating Linea’s mainnet launch. There will be only 1000 items available for minting so get in early!

The livestream will run from 10:00am-11:00am ET, with the opportunity to network with Linea team and ecosystem partners afterwards. The NFT claiming period will run from 10:00am to 12:00pm.

How do I join the Decentraland meetup?

1. Click to join the Linea team in Decentraland at the Consensys HQ.

2. Connect your MetaMask wallet.

3. After entering the game, edit your name by clicking on your avatar picture, then your name. Click through to account settings, and add your team info like '_’. If you do not see the livestream on the event stage, refresh your browser and rejoin. Otherwise, you can also find the stream on YouTube or LinkedIn.

   How will the Decentraland event work?

   The Livestream Space

   • We will host the virtual viewing party on the main platform of the Decentraland Consensys HQ .
   • The screen will only be visible if you are in the lobby or on the ground level near the stairs/on the stairs. If you leave the trigger zones, such as the art park, the screen is hidden and the livestream volume will cut out. If you join before the stream starts, you will need to rejoin Decentraland in order to view the stream.
   • The Consensys HQ space will include: The livestream screen A Linea branded monument that will take you to the Linea website A Consensys branded monument that will take you to the Consensys website A Linea wearables dispenser: Attendees will be able to mint their exclusive Linea mainnet launch wearables here. A non-playable character (NPC) to welcome attendees to the space

   The Event Experience

   • We recommend that guests switch off voice chat in Decentraland for the duration of the Livestream because this may interfere with the streaming sound for nearby guests. Once the livestream is over, we encourage attendees to use both voice and text chat to engage with Linea team members and other ecosystem participants!
   • Decentraland servers host a maximum of 50 players at one time. In order to meet more team and ecosystem members, you can try logging out and logging back in to engage with a different set of players.

   Wearables and NFT Minting

   • Linea has created a distinctive wearable to commemorate the completion of its mainnet launch, and to recognize early partners and ecosystem participants.
   • The 'ecosystem jacket and t-shirt' will seamlessly complement other Decentraland clothing items while showcasing the Linea community. The jacket includes a unique levitating/glowing Linea graphic on the back with glowing stripes on the sleeves.
   • A total of 1000 wearable NFTs will be available for mint during the Decentraland meetup.

   

   How will users claim swag NFTs at the Decentraland meetup?

   • Once you arrive at the Consensys HQ and head to the main platform, you’ll see the Linea wearables dispenser.
   • You can engage with the dispenser which will automatically drop the wearable into your wallet that is connected to Decentraland.
   • Once the transaction has taken place (which can take a few minutes), you’ll be able to see it in your inventory backpack to equip.
