The Linea Surge is a pivotal initiative that will propel the zkEVM ecosystem forward by increasing liquidity and total value locked (TVL) on the network, attracting more DeFi enthusiasts, and generating unmatched excitement for all Lineans.  The points-driven program gives users with LXP-L tokens for maintaining assets on Linea and offers bonuses for utilizing those assets with partner protocols.

The Surge will run for six Volts or until we reach $3B in network TVL, whichever comes first. Each Volt will run for one month. Below, we outline the first edition of incentives launched today alongside Volt 1.

Linea Surge Volt 1 Incentives to Get Started

As the inaugural Surge campaign, Linea Volt 1 comes with special incentives. Here’s what you need to know to tap in.

• First-Time Opportunity to Maximize LXP-L: The Surge program operates with a time decay function, meaning that the LXP-L issued for your liquidity reduces by 10% at every Volt. To maximize LXP-L for your liquidity, consider joining Surge in Volt 1.

• Hourly Rewards, Daily Gains: Users can collect LXP-L every hour by holding assets on Linea and by deploying assets to designated protocols.

• Claim a Referral Code to Start: To participate in Volt 1, claiming a valid referral code is your first step. We’ve partnered with DeFi players to ensure referrals are accessible throughout the ecosystem. Follow Linea on X for more details or ask around in our ecosystem communities.

• Early Adopter Modifier: If you’ve been with Linea since our mainnet launch or have moved assets to Linea since we announced the Surge you were integral to reaching the current level of TVL on the network. As a ‘thank you’ for your participation, the multiplier will provide additional LXP-L to users that have at least .1ETH locked to any protocol.

• Security First: Safeguarding our users is paramount. To join Linea's ecosystem, protocols need extensive testing on another mainnet for over one year or a valid third-party audit report. As part of the Surge, requirements are being enhanced, including the introduction of active and passive exploit detection systems and additional security best practices.
