The launch of Linea Surge amplifies network liquidity and TVL. Here’s how to navigate StationX and its communities to maximize Surge rewards.
The Linea Surge is among us, marking the start of a multi-part initiative, laser-focused on amplifying liquidity and total value locked (TVL) on Linea’s layer 2 (L2) blockchain network. As a vital step on Linea’s path to becoming a leading L2, higher liquidity will play a key role in increasing user confidence and fueling greater participation within DeFi communities.
The Surge introduces a new token, LXP-L, that rewards users for retaining assets on Linea and offers bonuses for leveraging those assets with partner protocols.
Guiding our community through this transformative phase is of paramount importance. Thankfully, our zkEVM ecosystem is robust with builders passionate about this evolution. StationX, an on-chain capital coordination protocol, emerges as a key player in the Surge.
At its core, Stationx offers users a way to be part of various communities and try out new DeFi strategies. Through stations by StationX, on-chain communities can pool resources, collectively raise capital, and manage assets as unified, large liquidity providers (LPs).
StationX is swiftly gaining traction in its mission. In a recent collaboration, the Efrogs community—holders of Linea’s original NFT collection, Ethereum Frogs—has integrated with StationX, enabling members to partake in a new membership model.
Beyond staking together, StationX represents a movement that harnesses collective action for amplified rewards, now including the potential to earn LXP-L tokens from the Surge.
Below, we guide you through all the essentials of using StationX, best practices for security, and earning Points during the Surge.
What are stations?
Stations enable on-chain communities to raise capital together and manage assets as single large LPs. Communities with significantly large LP positions can directly negotiate with protocols for additional incentives to their stations. Each station is a wrapper of a Safe multisig wallet that acts as community treasury and an LP token (ERC20/NFT) as proof of ownership for community members contributing funds to the station.
What are Points?
Points are rewards distributed by StationX to users participating in the Surge. Join the featured stations on linea.stationx.network to start earning Points.
How can I start earning Points?
Points are emitted to users every hour starting immediately after you join your first station. You earn 10 Points per hour for each Station membership NFT you mint.
Will I receive LXP-L and how?
Stations will receive the LXP-L for participating in the Surge. There are two ways you can earn LXP-Ls by using StationX:
Join featured stations: You will receive your share of the station’s LXP-L when the admin(s) distribute them to members.
Create stations [recommended]: You can create a station & fund it with min. 0.01 ETH to earn LXP-Ls in your treasury. This is an alternative self-custodial way to get LXP-L.
*Please note that LXP-L distribution is solely managed by a station's admin(s) and your funds are in the custody of the admin(s) managing the station. However, If you're the sole admin of a station, you can withdraw your LXP-L. Therefore, creating stations is the best way to self-custody your LXP-L earnings. Only join other stations if you trust the owners to distribute the station's LXP-L earnings (or other rewards) to members.
What are Level Boosters?
Level Boosters are multipliers (1.25x, 1.5x, 2x) you can apply to your hourly rewards.
How can I get a Level Booster?
You can add multipliers by doing additional tasks like:
Fund your station with min. 0.01ETH
Start an LP position with any of the pools
Multipliers are applied to your points emissions immediately after the task is completed.
How do I create a station?
Creating a station takes less than 60 seconds and is fairly simple. Visit app.stationx.network to get started.
I want to join Efrogs! Who controls the Efrogs station’s multisig?
Efrogs’s core team is in charge of managing the funds raised inside the Efrogs station V1. The current threshold of the multisig is three out of six. Join the Efrogs Discord for any additional questions.
When will I be able to withdraw ETH from a station?
Withdrawals will be made available for stations from summer 2024. Members will be able to take back their ETH plus their share of accrued APY/rewards earned from the station’s LP positions.
*Please note that refunds are NOT permissionless and are processed by your station’s admin(s). However, you can withdraw funds if you’re the only admin managing a station. Hence, creating stations is the best way to self-custody your funds.
What are the best practices for using StationX during The Surge?
Use an easily identifiable name & token ticker while creating a station. For example EFrogs Station ($FRG).
Double-check if you’re joining the correct station.
Double-check you’re connected to the Linea network on app.stationx.network.
Customize your station’s contribution page with a description, images, logo, social links, etc. from the “preview & edit” section.
What shouldn’t I do?
Don’t join any station where you don’t trust the manager(s) with your funds!
Don’t use the same token ticker as an existing asset/token to avoid confusion.
If you face any issues with StationX, reach out to our team via Discord or Telegram.

2025 Launched a New Era for Linea and L2s
2025 will be remembered as the year a broken L2 paradigm began to shift to something more stable and enduring. This is the year the ecosystem grew up, and much of that foundation was laid in recent months by Linea Over the past several months with the launch of the LINEA token, Linea established itself as the most ETH-centric L2. Linea tokenomics drives a non-extractive economy, designed to benefit every participant in our network over the long term “The networks that will matter in five years aren't the ones optimizing for today's benchmarks,” explains Declan Fox, Head of Linea. “They're the ones designed to be self-sustaining economies that strengthen Ethereum, not just sit on top of it.”
