Eigen Labs is an engineering and research organization dedicated to building EigenCloud and contributing to its core protocols, EigenLayer, EigenDA, and EigenCompute. Often described as the "AWS of Ethereum," Eigen Labs provides crucial decentralized data availability and compute services.

It is perhaps best known for introducing the concept of restaking, a groundbreaking innovation enabling Ethereum's staked ETH to secure services and protocols beyond Ethereum itself. Builders can bootstrap security by leveraging existing Ethereum stake, allowing them to launch applications faster and with stronger security, even without their own native tokens.

• Verifiable Inference for AI: Eigen is developing services, expected later this year, that will allow off-chain AI agents to interact with on-chain token contracts. This addresses the critical challenge of making AI inferences verifiable, opening new possibilities for on-chain AI applications.

• A particularly exciting area involving teams at both Consensys and Eigen Labs is the development of ERC-8004, a protocol that extends Google's agent-to-agent communication protocol with a trust layer built on Ethereum. This enables trustless AI agents to discover, choose, and interact across organizational boundaries without needing pre-existing trust. This framework lays the foundation for future AI coordination and value transfer, powering billions of transactions at speeds humans cannot match.
