Linea is the L2 where Ethereum wins and the most-capital efficient chain for ETH. Today we’re handing over the keys to a major component of Linea’s value-sustaining machinery by opening the Linea Ignition program to the public.
Ignition is a program approved by the Linea Consortium and designed to accelerate active TVL for Linea DeFi and reward liquidity providers in the process. The TVL provided through Ignition is also what will help power Linea's unique Native Yield mechanism, coming in the near future.
This incentive program is a catalyst for our ecosystem, targeting over $1 billion in TVL and distributing 1 billion LINEA tokens from the ecosystem fund managed by the Linea Consortium as rewards.
Linea has been testing the program over the past few weeks in a private beta with a whitelist of LPs and we are now ready to open it to anyone who would like to provide liquidity.
How does Linea Ignition run?
Linea Ignition is an incentive program designed to reward liquidity providers (LPs) who contribute to key DeFi protocols on Linea Mainnet. Participants can earn LINEA rewards by engaging in specific activities on leading protocols such as Etherex, Aave and Euler. The program will run until October 26, 2025.
Rewards are computed and verified by Brevis’s ZK Coprocessor and Pico ZKVM, ensuring every payout is transparent, decentralized, and secure.
Connect your wallet to the campaign page at linea-ignition.brevis.network to access incentivized activities and view your rewards.
To participate in Linea Ignition and earn rewards, LPs can add liquidity to the pools listed on the campaign page, which initially include…
All WETH, USDC and USDT lending pools on AAVE
WETH, USDC, USDT markets curated by EulerDAO/Gauntlet, Re7 Labs, and Zerolend – either deposited directly or soon on Euler Earn.
USDC/ETH, WTBC/ETH, USDC/USDT, and REX/ETH pairs on Etherex (where incentives are on top of existing $REX rewards).
All lending pools (not pairs) will also soon be accessible through Turtle.
How Rewards are Calculated
Rewards are allocated in LINEA based on the type of activity:
Etherex Pools: Rewards are allocated based on the swap volume generated by your liquidity and the slippage of each swap. Linea uses an Inverted U-Curve Incentive Function, which aims to reward impactful liquidity provision during market stress, rather than just passive volume during stable conditions. This means higher rewards when spreads are wide and slippage is high, incentivizing LPs who absorb trades during price discovery periods.
Aave and Euler Pools: The total reward for each pool is allocated based on a weight that considers factors like the actual TVL (time-weighted average from whitelisted LPs) and a target TVL. Rewards for individual LPs are then calculated based on their time-weighted average vault share within the pool. This includes adaptive incentives designed to increase rewards when pools are under-utilized.
Rewards are updated on a weekly basis, typically by Monday or Tuesday after each week ends.
Viewing and Claiming Your Rewards
Every reward calculation is fully decentralized, transparent, and trustless thanks to Brevis’ zero-knowledge proof technology. You can review your campaign information and view/claim your rewards directly through the official campaign website: https://linea-ignition.brevis.network.
Before October 27, 2025: All rewards are locked, and the claim function is disabled. You can only view your cumulative rewards.
On October 27, 2025: 40% of rewards will be unlocked immediately and available for claim.
After October 27, 2025: The remaining 60% of rewards will be unlocked linearly per day over the next 45 days.
Important Disclaimers:
The reward formulas and parameters are decided by the Linea team and subject to periodic updates. Any changes will be announced on a weekly basis.
All incentive figures and projected figures are illustrative only and subject to change based on protocol performance, market conditions, and external regulatory factors.
